The ship is on a repositioning voyage from Los Angeles and is the first cruise vessel to arrive for the season. Built in 2007, the vessel underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2015. After a dry dock stay in Vancouver, the ship is headed over to Victoria on April 12th, and will then depart for warmer southern waters.

Mar 22 - Tranquil Ace

   The vehicle carrier, Tranquil Ace, was the first ship to arrive at the new Vehicle Processing Centre (VPC) at the Nanaimo Assembly Wharf in the Port of Nanaimo.  Owner         Prosper World Marine Co.   Year Built:       2018Tonnage:        150000Deadweight:   147500 tLength:           366 mBreadth:           51 mSpeed:             23 knCapacity:        14,220 TEU Two new 14,000 TEU full-container vessels built by Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and chartered by Yang Ming, were named as YM Warranty and YM Wellspring on 6th March, 2019 at Imabari shipyard.  YM Warranty and YM Wellspring, are the fourth and fifth of the five 14,000 TEU full-container vessels Yang Ming chartered from Shoei Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. They belong to the same type as YM Wellbeing, YM Wonderland and YM Wisdom which were delivered to Yang Ming recently. This type of ship is designed with a nominal capacity of 14,220 TEU and equipped with 1,000 reefer plugs. Since 2015, a total of 20 newly-built 14,000 TEU full-container vessels have been added to the Yang Ming fleet. YM Warranty and YM Wellspring are the last two of them and will join Yang Ming’s service in the very near future.
