Steelhead LNG and the Huu-ay-aht First Nations are jointly developing the proposed Kwispaa LNG Project, located at Sarita Bay on Vancouver Island. The proposed Project is an energy project that would take natural gas from northeastern BC and Alberta and turn it into LNG at an LNG processing plant at Sarita Bay. The proposed project site is located on approximately 330-hectares of Huu-ay-aht owned land at Sarita Bay, about 10 km north of Bamfield. The proposed project would use a combination of existing and new pipelines and right-of-ways to transport the gas from northeastern BC to northwestern Alberta to the Kwispaa LNG Facility.
